Bauyrzhan Sagymbek said that after the attempted abduction of his daughter, he repeatedly tried to resolve the conflict peacefully. He met with the defendant's relatives and asked them to influence the young man to prevent a recurrence of such situations.
The father of the murdered girl emphasized that the young man's family assured him that it would not happen again, but a few months later the tragedy occurred. Addressing the defendant's father, Bauyrzhan Sagymbek said: "Didn't you say you would influence your son? Why didn't you keep your word?"
In response, the defendant's father said he did not intend to interfere in his son's case. This provoked a strong reaction from Bauyrzhan Sagymbek, who exclaimed: "Aren't you ashamed?! Not a drop of shame! No conscience at all!"
