In the Zhambyl region, a court has ordered the father of nine minor children to pay alimony, even though he is officially married. The decision was made after it was revealed that the man does not live with his family and does not contribute to the children's upkeep, reports infohub.kz.
According to the official Telegram channel of the Zhambyl regional courts, the court of the Turar Ryskulov district considered a civil case regarding the recovery of alimony for nine minor children. The lawsuit stated that the defendant is the legal father of the children, but for several months he has not lived with the family and has not provided financial support. Although the marriage has not been officially dissolved, the couple no longer lives together.
The plaintiff asked the court to order the defendant to pay alimony in the amount of 50% of all types of his earnings and other income until the children reach adulthood. After examining the case materials and the evidence presented, the court found the claims justified. In making its decision, the court took into account the family and financial situation of both parties, as well as the obligation of parents to support their minor children.
As a result, the court order satisfied the claims. The defendant will pay half of his earnings and other income monthly for the support of the nine children until they reach adulthood, starting from August 2026. In addition, the defendant was ordered to pay the state court fee. The court decision has already entered into legal force.
