Spanish specialist Sergi Altisent has been appointed head coach of futsal club Semei, reports the website infohub.kz.
The 33-year-old coach joined the team in September 2025, working under Aslan Smakov, who left the head coach post in March. After Smakov's departure, Altisent served as interim head coach and has now been officially confirmed in the role. His contract runs until the end of the 2026/27 season.
"We wish Sergi success in his new role, achievement of set goals, and new victories together with futsal club Semei!" the club said in a statement.
Under Altisent's guidance, Semei reached the final of the Kazakhstan championship last season, where they lost to Almaty-based Kairat. Previously, the Spaniard spent three years in charge of Barcelona's reserve team, focusing on developing young players.
The club also announced that season ticket sales for the new season will start on July 28 via the official website. Tickets cover all home matches of the national championship, excluding playoffs. Champions League games are not included. Three categories are available: Fan – 16,000 tenge, Comfort – 40,000 tenge, Elite – 60,000 tenge.
