The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has officially approved the Kazakhstan Football Federation's (KFF) application for a grant under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme for 2026. This decision will bring significant funding to develop young footballers in the country, according to infohub.kz.

According to information released by the KFF press service, the total funding will amount to $250,000. These funds will be allocated to several key initiatives aimed at strengthening the country's football reserve system.

The bulk of the grant—$125,000—will be invested in the "Future Champions" project, which involves scouting and selecting promising young players nationwide. Another $50,000 will be earmarked for organizing training seminars for coaches and scouts, which should enhance the qualifications of specialists working with young athletes.

Additionally, $50,000 will cover operational expenses related to program management, and the remaining $25,000 will be used to implement child protection standards and psychological support programs for participants.

The KFF noted that FIFA's global football development group, led by Arsène Wenger, highly praised the preparation level of the submitted projects. This reflects recognition of Kazakhstan's efforts to improve the quality of football reserve training.
