Firefighters prevented the destruction of private homes in Almaty after a fire broke out, reports infohub.kz.

The incident occurred in the Kemel microdistrict of the Zhetysu district, where the roof of a private residence caught fire. Fire crews from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched promptly.

Due to dense construction, there was a risk of the fire spreading to neighboring homes.

"Firefighters simultaneously extinguished the blaze and protected nearby structures. The fire was stopped before it could spread. Rescuers prevented thermal damage to the interior of the house," the Ministry reported.

The fire was extinguished. There were no casualties.

"The Ministry reminds citizens to comply with fire safety regulations and to report emergencies immediately by calling 112," rescuers urged.
