A resident of Astana decided to give his sister a bright birthday surprise by setting off fireworks, but instead of joy, he received a five-day administrative arrest, reports infohub.kz.
The incident occurred at night in the parking lot of one of the capital's establishments. Police officers recorded the launch of pyrotechnics and identified the violator. He turned out to be a 34-year-old man who wanted to congratulate his sister on her birthday in this way, but disturbed the peace and public order.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the man for petty hooliganism. By court decision, he was sentenced to five days of administrative arrest.
The Astana Police Department reminds that festive events should be held in compliance with public order. The police urge residents of the capital to respect citizens' right to peace and to use pyrotechnics only in permitted places, observing all safety measures.
