A fishing trip for residents of the North Kazakhstan Region nearly ended badly when their car got stuck in mud near a river, prompting a call to rescuers, reports infohub.kz.

Rescuers responded after a call to the emergency number 112 reported that a passenger car had become stuck in mud near the village of Krasny Yar in the Kyzylzhar District and could not move on its own. Emergency officials assessed the situation and began rescue operations.

"Using special equipment, the car was successfully extracted from the difficult terrain," the emergency ministry said. No one was injured. The ministry reminded that in case of an emergency, people should call 112.
