On one of Shymkent's streets, named Dostyk, there are five pairs of twins living. Ten children were born in houses located close to each other. The youngest are just preparing for school, while the oldest have already started their own families. This unusual street story is told by Kursiv LifeStyle, reports the website infohub.kz.
According to Otyrar.kz, the youngest twins, Aibar and Aidar, are four years old. Their parents named the brothers with the wish that they would grow up to be true heroes. The boys look very similar, but their personalities are noticeably different: one is calm and quiet, the other loves to play pranks and fight.
Another pair, Manshuk and Aliya, have already finished school. Both girls played volleyball, participated in competitions, and won prizes. However, their interests differ: Manshuk has been fond of drawing since childhood and took part in creative contests, while Aliya prefers foreign languages.
The oldest twins on the street are Aigel and Asel. They are 25 years old, both have started their own families and live independently. Since childhood, the sisters have been involved in music and interested in art.
It turned out that twins are not rare in their family. The great-grandmother of Aigel and Asel gave birth to 16 children, and she had twins three times. Their father Kanat Kaltaiuly recalls that even he found it difficult to tell the sisters apart as a child.
In addition to these three pairs, there are two more pairs of twins living on the street. One pair is still in kindergarten, and the girls Fatima and Zukhra are in elementary school.
Interestingly, Shymkent is one of the regions of Kazakhstan where twins and triplets are often born. In the first six months of 2024, 151 twins and three triplets were born in the city.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that nearly two thousand families in Kazakhstan had twins.
