Over the past day, 13 fires were registered on the territory of the state forest fund of Kazakhstan. Most of the fire outbreaks were detected thanks to aerial patrols and an early detection system, reports the website infohub.kz.
Two fires occurred in the East Kazakhstan region. One fire each was recorded in the Karaganda region, the Markakol and Korgalzhyn state nature reserves, the Bayanaul National Park, and on the territory of the state enterprise "Zhasyl Aimak".
Two fires each were registered in the Karkaraly National Park and the state forest nature reserves "Ertis Ormany" and "Semey Ormany".
Upon receiving reports, forest service employees were dispatched to the fire sites. A Mi-8 helicopter of Kazavialesookhrana with a water-dropping device, an aviation fire service, and state forest protection units were involved in extinguishing the fires.
In some regions, the elimination of remaining fire hotspots continues.
Due to heat and the passage of thunderstorm fronts, a high fire danger level persists in Kazakhstan. The state forest protection and Kazavialesookhrana continue aerial and ground patrols of the forest fund in an enhanced mode.
The day before, in the Akmola region alone, nine hotspots of dry vegetation fires were extinguished over a 24-hour period, covering a total area of more than 230 hectares. The fires occurred in the Atbasar, Akkol, Tselinograd, Zhaksy, and Korgalzhyn districts. Emergency department units, Kazaviaspas, local executive bodies, forest institutions, and other services were involved in extinguishing them.
