The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has reported the extinguishment of forest fires in the Akmola, Aktobe, and East Kazakhstan regions, according to infohub.kz.

"On July 19, 2026, a forest fire was recorded on the territory of the state forest fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The forest fire recorded in the Karabutak state institution in the Aktobe region has been fully extinguished," the ministry said.

Additionally, thanks to firefighting efforts, two forest fires recorded on July 15, 2026, in the Ereymentau district of the Akmola region have been completely extinguished. Also, a forest fire recorded on July 18, 2026, in the East Kazakhstan region has been fully extinguished.

The Ministry of Ecology emphasized that due to rising air temperatures, there remains a high risk of forest fires in the country.

"In this regard, we urge citizens to strictly observe fire safety rules when in forests and nature," environmentalists said.

Earlier, it was reported that a large forest fire that had been raging in the Abai region since July 16 had been contained.
