More than 2,000 entrepreneurs in the Almaty region received protection after violations affecting business interests were identified. Since the beginning of the year, 65 cases of interference and restrictions hindering entrepreneurial activity have been eliminated, reports infohub.kz.
As part of the work to protect businesses, three acts that created obstacles to business development were canceled. In addition, 469 million tenge were recovered in favor of entrepreneurs.
For violations of the order of interaction with businesses and illegal interference in entrepreneurial activities, 59 officials were held accountable. Of these, 25 received disciplinary sanctions, and another 34 were brought to administrative responsibility.
A separate case is being investigated regarding the embezzlement of funds from entrepreneurs. A pre-trial investigation is underway against a former civil servant on charges of fraud, involving the acquisition of entrepreneurs' money through deception.
