A powerful hurricane swept through the Pavlodar region, leaving four villages without electricity. The storm tore off roofs, toppled trees, and snapped power lines, as reported by the website of KTK TV channel.
The hurricane struck the Uspensky rural district in the middle of a clear day. Local residents were shocked by a huge funnel cloud that they compared to a tornado.
In the village of Konyr Ozek, 12 houses and a local club lost their roofs in a matter of minutes. Four villages were completely cut off from electricity. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and urgently began repairing power lines.
The exact extent of the damage is still being assessed.
