Kazakhstani students and scientists held a series of educational events at the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University. Guests from Semey demonstrated the practical application of artificial intelligence in medicine and modern simulation technologies for training doctors, reports infohub.kz.
Students and resident doctors from Semey showcased AI-powered startups to their Tajik colleagues and conducted a master class with the robot simulator "Leonardo". The events took place as part of the Days of Kazakhstani Medicine in Tajikistan.
It is noted that the presented projects were developed under the guidance of Professor Saule Rakhyshanova. Kazakh medical students Bakytbek Akylbekov, Sernad Kaliev, and Adelia Akimova presented their developments.
According to the Ministry of Health, the master class "Simulation Technologies in Training a 21st Century Doctor" drew the most interest from Tajik colleagues. In particular, the Kazakh delegation presented teaching methods using the robot simulator "Leonardo".
The ministry emphasized that overall, within the Days of Kazakhstani Medicine in Dushanbe, specialists from leading medical organizations of Kazakhstan conducted consultations, master classes, clinical case discussions, and other practical activities across a wide range of fields – from cardiology and cardiac surgery to endocrinology, traumatology, obstetrics, and gynecology.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kazakh oncologists shared their experience in laparoscopy with Tajik colleagues. Specifically, surgeries on kidneys, adrenal glands, and bladder were performed.
