The 10th studio album by American rapper Future, titled 'The Real Me,' debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, overtaking Eminem in the number of chart-topping albums, reports infohub.kz.
In its first week of sales in the U.S., the album earned 131,000 equivalent album units. Streaming services were the main driver: 118,000 units came from over 120 million official streams of the tracks. Physical and digital sales accounted for 13,000 copies.
This success gives Future his 12th album to top the Billboard 200. He becomes the third rapper in history with the most chart-toppers, passing Eminem, who has 11. In the all-time chart standings, only The Beatles (19), Drake and Taylor Swift (15 each), and Jay-Z (14) are ahead.
'The Real Me' is Future's first solo studio album after a series of collaborative releases with producer Metro Boomin.
