Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Gadzhi Rabadanov secured a stoppage victory at the PFL event in Tampa, Florida, USA, reports infohub.kz.
The athlete competed in the co-main event of the evening. His opponent in the lightweight division (up to 70.3 kg) was American Tracy Reeder, who replaced the withdrawn Polish fighter Jakub Kaszuba.
The bout, scheduled for three rounds, ended early. In the opening segment, Rabadanov took control on the ground and landed a series of unanswered strikes, prompting the referee to stop the fight and call it a technical knockout.
The representative of Khabib Nurmagomedov's and Islam Makhachev's team won for the second consecutive time. Overall, the 33-year-old Rabadanov now has 28 wins, five losses, and two draws.
Reeder, who was making his PFL debut, saw his five-fight winning streak snapped. In professional MMA, the 27-year-old American has 12 wins and six losses.
Another representative of Nurmagomedov's and Makhachev's team, Makkasharip Zainukov, on the contrary, lost at the Tampa event. The Russian, competing in the lightweight division, lost to Brazilian Nathan Schulte by unanimous decision after three rounds (27:30, 28:29, 28:29).
