Galym Ashimov announced his resignation as akim of Temirtau. He had held the position since September 2024, reports infohub.kz.
In a post on Instagram, the former akim addressed the city's residents, stating that he was concluding his work. He expressed special gratitude to each resident for their active civic engagement and open dialogue.
"Such open communication allowed us to see specific problems and find ways to solve them together," Ashimov noted.
He added that it had been a great honor to serve Temirtau and its residents, and that a part of his heart will forever remain in the city of metallurgists.
"I express sincere gratitude to all citizens who worked together for the benefit of Temirtau and contributed to the development of the city. I wish the city of Temirtau peace, stability, prosperity, and new achievements. May well-being, abundance, and confidence in the future prevail in every home. Thank you for your trust! Thank you for your joint work!" the official wrote.
