Passengers flying out of Astana are advised to leave for the airport early due to expected traffic jams and temporary road closures linked to the International Games of the Future – 2026, reports infohub.kz.

Starting July 29, traffic restrictions may be in place on some streets of the capital, including roads leading to the airport. FlyArystan advises passengers to check road conditions in advance and allow extra travel time.

"We recommend arriving at the airport well in advance to complete all pre-flight procedures without rushing: at least two hours before domestic flights and at least three hours before international flights," the airline's press service said.

FlyArystan also reminded that passengers are responsible for arriving at the airport on time. Delays due to traffic jams are not grounds for holding up a flight.

Earlier, it was reported that from July 29 to August 9, the capital's police will operate in enhanced mode during the international tournament 'Games of the Future – 2026'. The competition, which combines digital technology and traditional sports, is expected to attract top athletes from around the world, international delegations, fans, and tourists.
