The village of Poltavka in the Aktobe region has had natural gas connected to 99 homes, home to 316 people, reports the website infohub.kz.
At the launch ceremony, Deputy Akim of the Aktobe region Asylbek Yessenbayev stated that gasification of settlements remains a priority of state policy and is aimed at improving the quality of life for rural residents.
The project cost 581.4 million tenge and was carried out by GazMart. It involved building 6.4 km of supply gas pipeline and all necessary engineering infrastructure.
According to the akimat, the region's gasification rate has now reached 97.5%. In 2025, natural gas was supplied to 31 settlements, home to over 13,000 people.
In 2026, authorities plan to gasify another 8 villages with a population of about 3,700 people. To date, 5 settlements with 2,126 residents have already gained access to natural gas.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan would revise gas prices to boost production.
