The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) has placed full responsibility on Iran for missile attacks on the region's states and demanded that Tehran compensate for the damage caused, the website infohub.kz reports.
The position is set out in a statement from the 168th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council, a copy of which was obtained by TASS. The document stresses that the Arabian monarchies hold Iran fully responsible for the attacks on the region's countries and demanded that Tehran make good the damage inflicted.
"The Council calls on the Security Council and the international community to oblige Iran to fully compensate for all the damage caused in accordance with UN Human Rights Council resolution 61/1 of 2026," the communiqué says.
The foreign ministers of the GCC states strongly condemned the continuing missile and drone attacks by Iran and its allies on GCC countries and Jordan. The statement notes that the attacks targeted civilian facilities, residential areas and diplomatic missions, causing significant material damage and posing a threat to the safety of civilians.
The Arabian monarchies flatly rejected any attempts by Tehran to justify its actions and demanded "an immediate and unconditional end to all attacks, provocations and threats."
