Geely has hinted at an imminent update to its Atlas crossover for the Kazakh market: a teaser captioned "New landmark. Coming soon" appeared on the brand's official Threads account, while a fresh OTTS for the model was registered in the KazStandard registry, reports infohub.kz.
The new document was issued on September 29 for a Geely Atlas of the FX11 type. That index belongs to the current Atlas, which is officially sold in Kazakhstan. The OTTS lists several powertrain options, including 1.5- and 2-litre petrol engines, as well as front- and all-wheel drive.
The dimensions in the document almost entirely match the current Geely Atlas: width is 1900 mm, height 1705 mm, and wheelbase 2777 mm. Length is given in the range of 4670–4706 mm.
The situation on the Chinese market also points to a possible update. In September, Geely unveiled a reworked Atlas there, known in China as the Boyue L. The crossover received changes to its exterior and engineering, including a new 1.5-litre turbo engine and a hybrid version.
At the same time, Geely's official distributor has begun building interest in the model. A short video appeared on the Kazakh representative office's Threads account with the line: "New landmark. Coming soon. Ready to see more?"
It is too early to speak of a major facelift, but the appearance of a new OTTS and a teaser on the brand's social media may point to preparations for an updated Atlas for the Kazakh market.
All that remains is to wait for the premiere, which, by all appearances, will take place in the near future.
