In July 2026, the Geely Galaxy EX5 EM-i became the best-selling hybrid car in Kazakhstan, according to infohub.kz.
According to the Association of Kazakhstan Automotive Business (AKAB), 255 units of this model were sold during the month – about 60% more than in June. Since the beginning of the year, sales of the Geely Galaxy EX5 EM-i have reached 910 units.
The growing demand coincides with a general increase in interest among Kazakhstani consumers in hybrid vehicles, which offer fuel efficiency in the city and a long driving range on long trips.
Geely Galaxy became part of the portfolio of the Kazakhstani automotive company Allur in 2025, and production of the EX5 EM-i was organized at a plant in Kostanay. The model became the first passenger hybrid car to be manufactured in Kazakhstan.
The Geely Galaxy EX5 EM-i can travel up to 1,003 km on a full tank and a charged battery, with up to 100 km on electric power alone. The weighted fuel consumption in the combined cycle is about 2.4 liters per 100 km, and when used without regular recharging, it is about 6–6.3 liters per 100 km.
The electric motor produces 218 horsepower. The car is also equipped with a range of safety systems, electronic driver assistance, and digital features.
“The growing interest in Geely Galaxy is not only due to the technological sophistication of the cars but also to the affordable purchasing options. Customers are offered special prices, credit programs with no down payment, and the possibility of buying through a trade-in program. The price of the Geely Galaxy EX5 EM-i under the special offer starts from 12,099,000 tenge,” the company said.
The July result allowed the model to take first place in the hybrid segment and also strengthened the position of locally produced vehicles with alternative powertrains in the Kazakhstani market.
