Georgian mixed martial artist Roman Dolidze suffered his third consecutive defeat in the UFC, losing to Dutchman Reinier de Ridder at UFC Fight Night in Sacramento, California, USA, reports infohub.kz.
The bout, which took place on the main card, was the first for both athletes since returning to the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg). The fight, scheduled for three rounds, ended in the opening segment: de Ridder had total dominance, landing over 90 strikes and absorbing only two. With Dolidze's passive defense on the ground, the referee stopped the fight via technical knockout after four minutes.
The 38-year-old Georgian has now lost three in a row. His record stands at 15 wins and six losses. De Ridder, meanwhile, snapped a two-fight losing streak. The 35-year-old Dutchman now has 22 wins and two losses in professional MMA.
In the main event, American Anthony Hernandez faced Brazilian Gregory Rodrigues, ranked sixth and 11th in the middleweight division (up to 83.9 kg), respectively. The fight went the full five rounds. Rodrigues won by unanimous decision (48:47, 49:46, 48:47).
