Following the wedding ceremony of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and his long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez, tabloids and jewelry experts have focused on the bride's look, especially her jewels. According to Page Six, for the wedding Georgina chose pieces from the French jewelry house Chopard with a total weight of over 250 carats, valued at approximately $50 million, equivalent to about 23.1 billion tenge, reports infohub.kz.
The centerpiece was the Garden of Kalahari necklace, featuring a 50-carat diamond surrounded by nearly 150 carats of smaller stones. The necklace can be worn with three pendants, and Georgina used two of them as earrings: one with a 25-carat pear-shaped diamond, the other with a 26-carat heart-shaped stone.
The necklace itself has an interesting history. It was crafted from a 342-carat diamond called the Queen of Kalahari, which was split into 23 separate stones. In 2023, Beyoncé wore the same necklace, without the pendants, at the Met Gala.
In addition to the Chopard set, Georgina wore her engagement ring with a large oval diamond. According to experts cited by Page Six, its value could reach $5 million (2.3 billion tenge), with the central stone weighing over 30 carats.
As a reminder, the couple's wedding was revealed on August 11 — Ronaldo and Rodriguez held a private ceremony at home in Portugal exactly 10 years after they met. Later, exclusive photos from the celebration appeared in Vogue. Instead of a large wedding, the couple had an intimate ceremony in the presence of their children and a few witnesses.
