Ailana from Taldykorgan was born prematurely, weighing just over 1.6 kg. Now the girl suffers from cerebral palsy and needs rehabilitation to lead a full life, reports infohub.kz.
Ailana was born at 29 weeks of pregnancy, weighing 1650 grams. She spent 70 days in the hospital with her mother, and after turning one, doctors diagnosed her with severe hyperkinetic cerebral palsy and grade 4 hearing loss.
After her parents' divorce, the girl stayed with her father and grandmother, who takes care of her rehabilitation.
"We have traveled to several countries for rehabilitation. And now we see that our efforts are not in vain. In 2025, we went to China for rehabilitation. After treatment, Ailana began to hold her head up and sit. Sometimes she even gets off the couch by herself," said the girl's grandmother, Kulbanu Baubaeva.
However, to consolidate and improve the results, 2-3 more courses are needed, including physical therapy, speech therapy, massage, physiotherapy, acupuncture, herbal medicine, fine motor skills exercises, and medication.
"In 2026, we received an invitation for rehabilitation, which will cost 10 million tenge. From the bottom of my heart, I appeal to all Kazakhstanis to help my special girl. Every day for her is a small struggle for health and the opportunity to live a full life. Treatment and rehabilitation give hope for new achievements, but without support it is very difficult for us to go through this path. Please, do not stand aside. Even a small help can become a big step towards her recovery. If you have the opportunity, support us. May your kindness return to you a hundredfold. We sincerely thank everyone who helps, worries, and believes in our girl," concluded the grandmother.
