Gennady Golovkin, President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, responded to Cristiano Ronaldo's post announcing his retirement from the Portugal national team, infohub.kz reports.
Ronaldo had earlier confirmed he was ending his international career with Portugal. The footballer's decision drew a wide response from users around the world. At the time of publication, the video announcing Ronaldo's decision had been viewed more than 467 million times and had gathered more than 32 million likes.
Many well-known athletes reacted to the announcement, including Kazakhstan's Gennady Golovkin.
"A true legend. Keep inspiring people around the world. Your legacy will live forever!" Golovkin wrote under the post.
