Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev spoke at a government meeting about measures to ensure Kazakh citizens have access to online services, reports infohub.kz.

The minister emphasized that it is important not only to expand the list of government services provided electronically, but also to guarantee the ability to receive them. Since June of this year, access to socially significant digital services eGov and Aitu has been made free of charge at the legislative level. This means that even with a zero mobile phone balance, citizens will be able to use key government and social services.

In addition, since April, an intelligent digital assistant eGov GPT has been launched. This service simplifies the process of obtaining services: previously, citizens had to figure out which agency to contact, which forms to fill out, and which documents to gather. Now it is enough to briefly describe your life situation, for example, "I need a residence permit" or "my child is starting school this year." eGov GPT will determine the necessary service, prepare the application, and see it through to completion. Already, 50 of the most popular services are available through eGov GPT, accounting for about 30% of all citizen requests. By the end of the year, this figure is planned to increase to 70%.
