Netflix has officially started production on the third installment of the beloved comedy franchise "Grown Ups." The cast, familiar to fans from the previous films, has reunited on set, reports infohub.kz.
The streaming service released the first photo from the set and confirmed the cast for the new movie. Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, and Salma Hayek will all reprise their roles. New additions include Julie Bowen and Sandler's daughters, Sadie and Sunny.
In the third film, the main characters' children have grown up, allowing the group of friends to embark on another big adventure together. The script was written by Adam Sandler with his frequent collaborator Tim Herlihy, and Kyle Newacheck is directing.
The first "Grown Ups" was released in 2010 and quickly became one of the most recognizable comedies of its time, largely thanks to its star-studded cast of popular Hollywood comedians. The sequel, which came out in 2013, cemented the franchise's status as a cult family comedy. "Grown Ups 3" is expected to premiere on Netflix by the end of 2026.
