Rudny will celebrate its 69th anniversary at the end of August, with German pop singer of Trinidadian descent Haddaway (real name Nestor Alexander Haddaway) as the headliner, reports infohub.kz.
Haddaway gained widespread fame in the CIS countries with his 1993 track "What Is Love," which topped charts across nearly every continent. His singles "Life," "I Miss You," and "Rock My Heart" were also popular. In February 2025, the singer performed in Karaganda.
The festive program on August 21 includes a children's show and a strongman performance. Haddaway will be joined on stage by local artists and Kazakh singer BAYANSULU (Bayansulu Sagyndykova). The evening will conclude with a fireworks display.
Earlier, the program for Pavlodar's City Day was announced: on July 25, a free concert on the banks of the Irtysh River will feature Russian singer MakSim, Romanian band Fly Project, as well as Kazakh performers "Irina Kairatovna," Diana Ismail, and Ilkhan.
