Halloween night in Almaty resulted in administrative penalties for several motorists: 17 drivers were held accountable for unusual and frightening car decorations, reports infohub.kz.

According to KTK TV channel, creative car owners adorned their vehicles' bodies, trunks, and bumpers with bloody handprints and fake human limbs. However, they failed to consider that decorations must not obscure license plates and headlights, the channel reported.

It was also emphasized that such car decorations could frighten and distract other road users. As a result, 17 drivers were penalized, each fined up to 65,000 tenge.

Earlier, it was reported that in Astana, a driver of a car covered in offensive inscriptions was arrested for 10 days.

Additionally, Almaty police commented on reports of mass detentions on Halloween. It turned out that preventive measures were being conducted to ensure public order and citizen safety. In the pedestrian zone "Arbat," 28 minors were identified who were out at night without their legal guardians.
