Shareholders of Halyk Bank have approved a dividend payment of 28.09 tenge per share, totaling 306.6 billion tenge. This marks the second payout this year, according to infohub.kz.
The decision was made on August 20 at a shareholder meeting held remotely. Payments will begin on September 7, with the shareholder list fixed on August 26. The bank's profit for 2025 amounted to 1 trillion tenge, of which 328 billion tenge was already paid out as dividends in April.
Additionally, shareholders approved amendments to the charter allowing dividends to be paid up to four times a year. If this happens, the bank's entire profit could be directed toward dividends.
It is worth noting that 62% of Halyk Bank's shares are owned by the holding company Almeks, which holds 6.8 billion shares and will receive 189.8 billion tenge in dividends. The remaining 35% of shares are in free float and are traded on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, AIX, and the London Stock Exchange.
In the first half of 2026, the bank's net profit decreased by 15.3% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 447.6 billion tenge.
