The engagement ring given to actress Hayden Panettiere by her former fiancé, boxer Wladimir Klitschko, has gone missing. The jewelry was valued at half a million dollars, according to infohub.kz.

Panettiere and Klitschko were together from 2009 to 2018 and announced their engagement in 2013. The couple has an 11-year-old daughter, Kaya. Even after their split, the actress continued to keep the ring.

The piece of jewelry disappeared shortly before Panettiere's death. Those close to the actress believe someone may have taken it along with her other belongings, but no one knows who did it.

The ring featured an emerald-cut diamond and a double band — two strips of metal on the sides. Klitschko gave it to Panettiere during their engagement, and the actress herself helped design it with the brand Montblanc.

"They made me an amazing book with lots of sketches. I told them my idea, gradually changed things, and in the end we arrived at the final version," the actress recalled in 2013.

Panettiere died on August 16. According to the coroner's report, the cause of death was the toxic effects of multiple substances. Law enforcement found no signs of trauma, and the circumstances of the ring's disappearance are being investigated separately.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that Wladimir Klitschko had gone to court to temporarily obtain authority to manage the estate of their 11-year-old daughter with Panettiere. He suspected that after the actress's death, some of her property could go missing or be stolen.

In addition, a loud scandal erupted online around Panettiere's death. Social media users spun dark theories and suspected British singer James Blunt, known for his hit "You're Beautiful."
