About 450,000 children in Kazakhstan will receive financial support as they prepare for the new school year. The minimum amount of assistance will be 50,800 tenge per child, reports the website infohub.kz.
From August 1 through September 30, the Vseobuch fund will provide funds for children from socially vulnerable groups to purchase school uniforms, shoes, and stationery. Local administrations have allocated about 23 billion tenge for this purpose.
The Ministry of Education noted that the minimum payment has increased by 10% compared with last year. Depending on the capacity of local budgets, the amount may be higher in some regions.
The assistance is intended for orphans and children without parental care, schoolchildren from low-income families, families receiving targeted social assistance, and children in difficult life situations.
To receive the payment, parents or legal guardians need to contact their education organization and provide the necessary documents. A schedule of school holidays for the 2026–2027 academic year was published earlier.
