In San Francisco (USA), a human and a machine faced off in the ring: American blogger Frankie LaPenna took on the EngineAI T800 android. The bout was part of the REK show, which typically stages fights between robots, according to infohub.kz.
At first, LaPenna landed several punches on the robot and even managed to push it back. But then the T800 went on the attack, delivering several powerful kicks. After one of them, the blogger ended up on the floor and could not continue the fight.
The mechanical fighter was styled to resemble the T-800 from "The Terminator," complete with menacing glowing red eyes. Video of the bout quickly spread across social media: on Instagram, the clip garnered about 2.8 million likes and 61,800 comments.
The fight video sparked a heated reaction. Users joked about a machine uprising while also finding the spectacle somewhat unsettling.

Fortunately, the robot uprising still seems a ways off. During the fight, the robot was controlled by an operator using VR, so the T800 didn't decide on its own where to strike. Still, one way or another, a machine did enter the ring and knock out a human. So now robots can do more than just take people's jobs.
