The future Hyundai Tucson N has been shown in unofficial renderings, reports infohub.kz.
Hyundai is preparing a full-fledged sports version of the fifth-generation Tucson with the N badge. While the company has not yet revealed the model's exterior, it can be imagined through renderings by automotive designer Nikita Chuiko. The crossover is expected to feature a hybrid powertrain with around 300 horsepower.
In the unofficial renderings, the crossover features a more aggressive front bumper, black trim elements, large alloy wheels, and body-colored fender flares. At the rear, there is a sporty bumper and two round exhaust tips.
The main intrigue is the technology. According to preliminary data, the Hyundai Tucson N will be equipped with a hybrid system based on a 1.6-liter turbo engine and an electric motor on the rear axle. The combined output will be around 300 horsepower. For comparison, the current Tucson HEV with 1.6T produces 235 hp. Thus, the new N version could be significantly more powerful than the standard hybrid.
There has never been a full-fledged N version of the Tucson. The third and fourth generations were offered only in the sporty N Line trim.
The premiere of the Tucson N is expected in 2027. Hyundai is keeping the exact specifications and design of the production car under wraps.
Earlier, Kursiv Avto reported that Hyundai will release more than 100 new models by 2030.
