A new off-road-oriented version of the popular Hyundai Tucson crossover has been spotted during testing on roads in South Korea. The XRT trim was caught by spy photographers after the company previously unveiled the rugged variant of the fifth-generation model, reports infohub.kz.
The Tucson XRT features a more massive front bumper with a wide rectangular grille. Under the bumper, there is a large protective skid plate, and the wheel arches and lower body sections are covered with textured protective plastic.
The exterior is complemented by darkened elements and black details. Overall, the XRT looks noticeably more rugged than the standard Tucson and is designed for off-road trips.
The exterior package also includes reinforced rear bumpers with underbody protection, dark alloy wheels, black window trim, and XRT badging.
Inside, special seat upholstery, dark metal accents, and all-weather floor mats for the first and second rows are expected. Additionally, the tailgate features a sensor-activated LED lamp to illuminate the cargo area when loading items in the dark.
Hyundai has not yet revealed full technical specifications, powertrain options, or the list of markets where the Tucson XRT will be sold. The company promises to provide details in the coming weeks.
