After a road accident, car owners need not only to receive an insurance payout but also to understand how the amount was calculated. Freedom Insurance explained to "Kursiv Auto" what data a damage assessment report must contain, according to infohub.kz.

After the assessment, the insurer provides the car owner with a report on the extent of the damage for review. The document must reflect the assessment results, the calculation of repair costs, a list of damaged parts, and the nature and scope of the work required.

The report also specifies the standards and rates used in the calculation. All of this allows the car owner to check which damages and works were taken into account when determining the insurance payout.

If the car owner has questions about the calculation, they can request clarification from the insurer. In particular, they can check which parts are included in the list of damaged ones, which repair works were taken into account, and at what rates the restoration cost was calculated.

This way, the car owner can understand the structure of the damage assessment and check whether the payout amount corresponds to the actual extent of damage and repairs.

Earlier, "Kursiv Auto" reported that insurance payouts after car accidents in Kazakhstan could be replaced by repairs.
