The second-round match took place at Nu Stadium in Miami and ended with a comeback victory for the visitors, 2-1.

Argentine midfielder Rodrigo De Paul opened the scoring for Inter in the 32nd minute. Monterrey equalized through Belgian forward Hugo Cuypers in the 47th minute, and Uruguayan striker Diego Rossi scored the winner in the 90th minute.
