Intergas Central Asia JSC, a subsidiary of QazaqGaz National Company JSC, held its annual professional skills competition for workers, Үzdik Mamан-2026. This year, 98 employees competed for the title of best specialist in core blue-collar professions of the gas transmission industry, infohub.kz reports.
Before taking part in the competition, specialists passed qualifying tests at their regional production branches. Over two days, contestants completed theoretical and practical assignments, demonstrating professional knowledge, skills for safely performing production operations, the ability to make decisions independently and act in emergency situations. A separate block was dedicated to practical skills in providing emergency first aid.
The competition commission evaluated participants on several criteria. These included the level of theoretical preparation, the quality of completing production tasks, the use of rational and safe work practices, the degree of professional independence, and the time spent on assignments.
The competition also served as a platform for exchanging production practices among employees from different regional branches. Its purpose was to raise the professional level of specialists, strengthen the safety culture, and spread effective and rational working methods.
The program also included training in additional competencies. An educational session on the use of artificial intelligence technologies was organized for participants. Specialists were introduced to modern digital tools and the possibilities for their practical use.
Based on the competition results, the winners were awarded diplomas and cash prizes for high professional mastery. In the overall team standings, the Aktau UMG branch, which showed the best results, received the competition's main trophy — the passing Үzdik Mamан cup.
The Үzdik Mamан-2026 competition demonstrated the level of professional training of Intergas Central Asia JSC employees and became a platform for developing competencies, exchanging production experience, introducing modern technologies, and strengthening the safety culture.
