Iran has announced a cash reward for the killing or capture of US military personnel, with the amount reaching up to $60,000, according to the website infohub.kz.

As reported by RIA Novosti, citing Iran's state broadcaster IRIB, the reward for each killed or captured American soldier was announced by the Commander of the Iranian Army, Amir Hatami.

"Given the large number of requests to participate in financial jihad, a plan has been developed under which the Iranian Army will award a bounty of $30,000 to anyone who kills or captures an American soldier. Iranian women who succeed in this will receive double the reward," Hatami said.

It is noted that weapons used in attacks on American troops will be purchased by the Iranian Army at twice the market price, and new weapons will be provided in exchange.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated his intention to declare the Strait of Hormuz as US territory. In response, the Commander of the Iranian Army announced the "expulsion" of the US from its territory and a ban on access to the Persian and Oman Gulfs, as well as the Strait of Hormuz.
