Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has criticized the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, calling them "clowns," according to infohub.kz.

Ghalibaf expressed his opinion about Trump's team on social media platform X, stating that Washington's intense pressure on Tehran will not lead to concessions.

"Bessent (U.S. Treasury Secretary - ed.) and Hegseth (U.S. Defense Secretary - ed.) are completely incompetent. Stop expecting a clown team to pull a rabbit out of a hat and clean up the mess you've made yourselves," Ghalibaf wrote.

Earlier, Trump posted a map on Truth Social showing the Strait of Hormuz labeled as "New U.S. Territory."

In response, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said Iran would "correct the misconceptions" of the U.S. president. Trump also stated that no negotiations are currently taking place or planned between the U.S. and Iran.
