Iran has announced a shift in its defensive strategy in response to US actions. First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref stated that Tehran's response will now be asymmetric and multi-layered, according to infohub.kz.
Aref said that new US crimes against the Iranian people have changed the security and defense equations of the country. "From now on, our response will be asymmetric, multi-layered, and will deprive the aggressor of security," he emphasized.
The vice president also warned Americans of potential consequences for their economy, advising them to think about their gasoline and fuel reserves, as "the US economy faces black months."
It is recalled that the US recently struck Iranian targets in the Strait of Hormuz for the first time in a month to prevent the laying of naval mines. In response, Iran announced strikes on US air bases in Jordan. Additionally, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, at the SCO summit in Bishkek, stated the condition for returning to a ceasefire with the US.
