Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran is prepared both for diplomatic negotiations and for a new military conflict with the United States, according to infohub.kz.
According to the minister, another round of American aggression against Tehran will prove just as futile as before.
"We are fully prepared if a new wave of aggression begins. We will withstand any aggression, even if it is a war of judgment day. At the same time, we are also ready for diplomatic negotiations. The choice is up to President Trump," Araghchi said in an interview with NBC.
The head of the foreign ministry stressed that Iran is fully ready for a diplomatic settlement of the conflict, but only on condition that Washington accepts Iran's seven-point plan.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump publicly rejected Iran's proposal for a one-week truce. However, a final response to Tehran has not yet been delivered.
In addition, the President of Iran said the other day that Tehran is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons, calling their development religiously forbidden.
"The development of nuclear weapons is haram," Pezeshkian explained.
