Several people were killed and nearly 70 wounded in an attack on a wedding ceremony in Iran's Hormozgan province, according to infohub.kz.
The incident occurred in the southern province of Hormozgan. Iranian authorities say the attack was carried out by the United States. Officials reported four dead, but some media, citing the Iranian Red Crescent, report five casualties.
Deputy Governor Ahmad Nafis said 68 people were injured.
Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian parliament's national security and foreign policy committee, stressed that Tehran will not leave the US attack on the wedding ceremony unpunished. "The attack on a wedding celebration and the killing of civilians in Kuhestak is undeniable evidence of the complete desperation of those who merely pretend to be defenders of human rights; it is a repetition of the atrocities they previously committed in Minab and Lamerde. Do not harbor illusions: these crimes will not go unpunished. Nothing will save the perpetrators from the crushing power of Iran's armed forces," he said.
