Pavlodar's Irtysh suffered a defeat in an away match against Semey's Elimai in the 21st round of the Kazakhstan Premier League, reports infohub.kz.
The match took place at the Spartak Stadium in Semey and ended with a 3:1 victory for the home side.
The first goal was scored in the 73rd minute by Kazakh striker Ivan Sviridov of Elimai. Four minutes later, Slovenian defender Madj Mitten Dorfer of the Semey club put the ball into his own net. Kazakh forward Akmal Bakhtiyarov saved the situation, putting his team ahead a couple of minutes later. The final point was set in the 92nd minute by domestic midfielder Miras Omatai, who scored the third goal for the hosts.
The Pavlodar team finished the game with a man down: after a second yellow card in the 82nd minute, Senegalese defender Pape Mamadou Mbodj was sent off.
After 21 rounds, Elimai has 31 points and sits in fifth place in the Kazakhstan championship. Irtysh, with 17 points, is in second-to-last, 15th place in the KPL standings.
