A tragedy unfolded in Italy when a family drove about 100 kilometers before realizing their 31-year-old son had died. The parents thought he was just resting, reports infohub.kz.
According to Corriere della Sera, the incident occurred on Sunday when the family of three was driving along the highway toward Turin. The father was at the wheel, the mother sat in the passenger seat, and their son was in the back.
As the publication notes, the man in the back seat showed no signs of life, but the parents did not notice for a long time, believing he was asleep. Later, they tried to call out to their son but got no response. After stopping the car, they found he had no pulse and called medics, who could only pronounce him dead.
The parents said that since the moment their son spoke his last words, they had driven about 100 kilometers. According to the newspaper, the cause of death was a heart attack. It is known that the man had minor heart problems during his life.
