Legendary actor and director Jackie Chan visited the Nomad Century historical and cultural museum, located in the French House in Almaty. He was accompanied by renowned German actor Til Schweiger. Both artists are in Kazakhstan for the filming of the new installment of the "Armour of God: Ultimatum" movie, reports infohub.kz.
On the same day, September 7, the exhibition was viewed by the management of "BSB French House," representatives of Helios company, and Nomad Century staff, who were delighted to welcome the world-famous guests.
It is worth noting that "BSB French House," Helios, and Beautymania are partners in the filming of "Armour of God: Ultimatum." The Nomad Century museum, located in the center of Almaty on Nazarbayev Avenue, occupies an area of over 1,200 square meters. Its collection comprises more than 6,500 exhibits dedicated to the centuries-long history of Kazakhstan, the Great Steppe, and the Silk Road. It features jewelry, weapons, works of ancient craftsmen, elements of traditional costume, and household items.
A separate section of the museum introduces the cultural and religious diversity of Kazakhstan, the interweaving of civilizations and traditions of different peoples.
The museum is open to all visitors daily from 10:00 to 19:00.
Jackie Chan's interest in historical artifacts and cultural heritage is no coincidence: it echoes the theme of his famous film franchise, as the plot of "Armour of God: Ultimatum" centers on the search for ancient artifacts and the adventures of treasure hunter Asian Hawk, a role played by the actor himself. Moreover, Jackie Chan is known for his passion for antiques and collecting; he is interested in rare items and studying their origins. Therefore, getting acquainted with real artifacts of the Great Steppe became part of his stay in Kazakhstan.
In preparation for previous films in the series, the actor also studied the history of cultural valuables. For example, while working on the third part of "Armour of God," he researched the antique market, the problem of forgeries, and the fate of artworks taken out of China. To prepare for the film, he consulted with experts and drew on real stories of lost artifacts.
