In a statement posted on Instagram, the 23-year-old thanked everyone for their support and moved to reassure fans that he is doing well. He explained that doctors have diagnosed him with absence seizures—brief episodes of loss of consciousness caused by a neurological disorder. According to Musiala, these seizures are highly treatable and were the cause of what happened on the field.

“I understand that many of you are concerned. Today I want to dispel those fears and clarify the situation. I have been diagnosed with brief, but treatable, absence seizures caused by a neurological disorder. They can lead to incidents like those in recent matches. I know it looks scary at first glance, but for me it's just part of everyday life now. I am receiving excellent medical care and remain very optimistic. Bayern and my loved ones are supporting me and helping me cope with this situation,” Musiala said.

The footballer stressed that “there is no additional health risk.” He noted that he continues to fight the condition and strictly follows the advice of specialists. According to him, living a normal life and doing what he loves—playing football—contributes to his recovery.

“I have taken full responsibility for this decision. Overall, I am very positive and moving in the right direction.
