American actor and musician Jared Leto has vehemently denied allegations of sexual assault and misconduct raised in a new BBC documentary titled "Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret," reports infohub.kz.
"I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my life. These allegations are absolutely and categorically false," Leto said.
The documentary features four women accusing Leto of sexual misconduct. According to them, the alleged incidents occurred between 2002 and 2016, when they were teenagers and Leto was in his 30s to 40s. The allegations include sexual assault, threats, obscene phone calls, and sexual contact with a minor.
According to the BBC, some of the accounts were partially corroborated through correspondence, photos, and testimony from people the women had confided in at the time. Several other women in the film said they received sexually explicit calls from Leto.
Leto has performed in Kazakhstan twice, in 2024 and 2025. During one show, he hinted that he would consider buying a home in Almaty. He also said he would be open to becoming the godfather of a child from Astana.
