Police and officers from the Department of Emergency Situations conducted a raid on water bodies in the Zhetysu region and identified several gross violations of jet ski operation rules. Owners and drivers of small vessels were held administratively liable, reports infohub.kz.
During the inspection, officers stopped a 23-year-old man. It turned out that he was operating a jet ski without a proper license, the vehicle had been handed over to a person without the right to operate it, and one participant was riding without a life jacket.
"Such violations pose a real threat to the life and health of vacationers and are unacceptable in crowded places. The joint work of the police and the Emergency Situations Department is aimed not only at identifying violators but also at preventing possible tragedies," police emphasized.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that inspections on water bodies will continue throughout the summer season. Violators of safety rules will be held accountable, as carelessness on the water can cost lives not only for the drivers but also for those around them.
