During a raid, police identified a 23-year-old man who grossly violated jet ski operating rules. He was handed over to the Department of Emergency Situations for action, according to infohub.kz.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the inspection found three violations: handing over control of a jet ski to an unlicensed person, operating without a license, and operating without a life jacket. All offenders were held accountable.
Police emphasized that such violations pose a real threat to the life and health of vacationers and are unacceptable in crowded areas. Law enforcement reminded that preventive raids will continue throughout the summer, and any violations will be suppressed.
Earlier, on Lake Alakol in the Jetisu region, a woman lost both legs after being caught under a boat's propeller. A criminal case has been opened.
